Well — fortunately, the UK is not the USA, a nation founded upon a belief in a deity. How unfortunate that you believe that “cluster of cells” is not human. What are you but a cluster of cells plus a soul?
Everyone needs to remember that even if God says that a purpose is created at the moment of conception for that child, America is not a theocracy. Separation of church and state is extremely important, especially in this issue. If someone like palin were to become president, we could see legislation that had its morals based upon her religion. Do we really want someone ramming their religion down our throats?
Yeah, because the President totally controls the legislature. Oh wait…
Heck, we had nutjob Bush in office for 8 years, and all we got out of it in regards to religious legislation was, uh, maybe some that allowed abstinence-only sex-ed to be taught in some schools? (not that it wasn’t being taught to begin with, so I guess we can’t chalk that up to Bush).

Again — I must refer you to the book “Original Intent”. The founders did not want the STATE or the GOVERNMENT to control the church. They did NOT at that time, take God out of the rules of government, they allowed the people to decide their method(s) of worship. Think about it… Who would attend a service run by the government and who would want the government telling them how they can or cannot worship when they darn near tell us everything else that we can or can not do.
Additionally — the phrase “separation of church and state” was coined by a lawyer in the 1970′s. It is NOWHERE in the constitution and I would challenge you to prove me wrong.

Obama was speaking about how he wants America’s children educated on NOT to treat sex casually, and how he thinks it is important that they should know there are consequences to sex – such as pregnancy and STDs. He said he doesn’t want his daughters “punished with babies… STDs… if they make a mistake.” He wasn’t specifically speaking ABOUT abortion; he was speaking about how sexual education is important.
