You quote the Constitution also, yet the Constitution also says that the Gov’t shall not impose any religion on the country. Obama cannot IMPOSE a Christian belief on Americans, it is UNCONSTITITIONAL!!! I know I wouldn’t like it if a Jewish person mandated Judaism and have to eat only Kosher, or a Muslim to impose Islams precepts and have my husband have 7 wives. There is a reason for separation of Church and State…there is not a consensus and there never will be until the day Jesus comes

And as far as me using one of the “7 ways to prevent a pregnancy”, big fluffy deal. I use condoms, birth control pills and all kinds of stuff to make sure I don’t get pregnant again. The Constitution has some of Bible wording in it, However, it was mostly inspired and formed with the assistance of John Locke’s letter to Britain. Also, the “protection” the founders sought was Freedom to practice ANY faith. Britain FORCED either Catholicism, Protestanism or Anglicanism on all the people, this was one of the main reasons people sought refuge in the US. We become like other nations< as you put it< when we force one faith on all people.
Also, God is the Righteous Judge, not yourself. You need to stand firm in your faith, yes, but you also need to do it compassionately, and you are not. People from other nations come here because of the Freedom we have. Where is the Freedom when you impose one faith and the beliefs that go along with that faith on everyone? In my opinion, that is just being like evry other nation…Mandating a National religion. We compromise God when we try to do His job, instead of our own: Discipleship.

We’re people before we exit the womb. Can we not safely state that abortion is equivalent to murder?
The thing is, America is not based on any religion, those who are pro-choice and not Christian would be treated unfair if we base laws on Bible verses, it falls back to freedom of religion. However, your verse does give evidence for Christians to believe pro-life is the way to go.
Why is it just a Christian matter? Not all pro-life people are Christian. It is mostly focused on by Christians as a group, but there are many individuals that are not Christian that do believe it’s murder. It’s sad that few others speak out against abortions other than Christians. Laws against abortion would be moral based, not necessarily just Christian based.

Abortion is wrong. Government-sponsored/funded abortion is absolutely wrong. Obama has passed policies that use taxpayer funds to pay for abortion. For this reason alone, ND should never have invited him to speak–no matter how ‘historical’ he is.

Obama said abortion is a tough decision. My question is why? Is destroying a lump of cells a difficult decision? Is removing a wart or mole a tough decision? Of course not. It’s only a tough decision if it’s a child. If it’s a child, then you are killing a child by having an abortion. Then you are committing murder.
