Harrison could have been more diplomatic in his explanation. But some people refuse to acknowledge that he has a right to stay home. He may not be the brightest guy, but I don’t think he should have been FORCED to attend.

True, he doesn’t like to fly. And Pittsburgh as well as his crib near pittsburgh isn’t that far from his hometown in Ohio. He can drive there in like 45 minutes, and this is one of the reasons why I think he like playing for the steelers…..because it was close to home, and he didn’t have to fly all the time.

I agree with Harrison…it’s no big freaking deal to go to the White House – and you even make the point on how the president makes a couple of jokes “he he he” and it’s no big deal. So if it is not a big deal then why bother going? It’s not for the players but just a photo op for the politicians. I think black people are upset about Harrison skipping the trip because we have a black president – but everyone forgets Harrison didn’t go with Bush was there. Way to go Big Man!
